The Vvaan: Force of the Forrest, led by Sidharth Malhotra and Tamannaah Bhatia, has had a decent first weekend, just shy of Rs 35 crore. The Hindi film, directed by Deepak Kumar Mishra, is inspired by the real Van Devi Temple, Bihta near Patna, and its folklore. On its release date on September 25, The VVan went up against films such as The Paradise, Dorothy, Avengers Endgame: Encore, and Primetime at the box office. However, globally, the film has seen a slow start, with grosses nearly matching that of back home.
