In Seasons 1 and 2, the creative team had cast the actors who voiced roles in the video game. Merle Dandridge and Jeffrey Wright reprised their game roles as Marlene, head of the Fireflies resistance movement, and Isaac Dixon, leader of the WLF militia in Seattle, respectively, for the video game. Ashley Johnson, who voiced Ellie in the video game, had a significant but small role as Ellie’s mom in Season 1.
