Rajkiran has secured anticipatory bail from the Madras High Court in connection with a case involving the alleged non-refund of a Rs 40 lakh film advance. Justice N Ramesh granted the relief after hearing the actor’s plea seeking protection from arrest. The case reportedly pertains to a proposed film project that did not materialise. Rajkiran, who has been part of several Tamil films, has not yet issued an official statement regarding the matter. After the project failed to take off, the producer sought the return of the advance paid to the actor. When the matter could not be resolved, the producer approached the Tamil Film Producers Council for discussions.
