“He passed away around 7pm on Thursday. He had been detected with lung cancer earlier and had got well. However, it relapsed eight days back and had to be admitted to the hospital. It was last stage cancer,” Shivam told the publication. Known for his work in films including Aashiqui, Gadar: Ek Prem Katha, Hera Pheri and Welcome, Mushtaq Khan was a familiar face in Hindi cinema. His passing has prompted tributes from several colleagues who remembered both his work and their personal memories with him.
