Charlie Higson, the novelist behind the latest Bond book ‘King Zero’, believes whoever succeeds Daniel Craig is almost guaranteed to provoke anger. Asked about the continuing mystery surrounding the casting of Bond 26, Higson offered a succinct prediction: “Whatever the answer, everyone will be very angry when they find out.” It sounds cynical until you consider what happened the last time 007 changed faces.
