The 25-year-old hails from Himachal Pradesh and is part of the Target Olympic Podium Scheme (TOPS) of the Indian government. This marks the first major event medal of her career. Earlier this year, she won the gold medal in the 10000m category in the 65th National Inter-State Senior Athletics Championships. She also secured the top spot in the 2024 Asian Cross Country Championships, Hong Kong – Senior Women’s Race. Last year, she secured a silver medal in the FISU World University Games
