Bollywood actors Sidharth Malhotra and Tamannaah Bhatia are gearing up for the release of their folk-fantasy thriller The Vvaan: Force of the Forrest. The film marks their first collaboration and has already generated considerable buzz among moviegoers. Its Chhath Puja song recently impressed audiences while the trailer also received a positive response from fans. Now, ahead of its Friday release, the film has secured clearance from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). In a rare occurrence, The Vvaan has passed the certification process without a single cut or modification.

According to the censor certificate, Sidharth Malhotra and Tamannaah Bhatia’s The Vvaan: Force of the Forrest has been awarded a U/A 16+ certificate.
Most films undergo some form of scrutiny by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), with cuts or changes often recommended before release. However, The Vvaan has received clearance from the CBFC Examining Committee without a single alteration to its audio or visuals.
It has a runtime of 136.25 minutes.
The Vvaan was previously scheduled to hit screens on August 28, 2026, after being postponed from its original May 2026 release. It is finally arriving in theatres this Friday.

The Vvaan: Force of the ForrestVvaan: Force of the Forrest is based on the Bihari folklore surrounding a mysterious forest and a revered local deity. The story follows a city man who returns to his ancestral village for a property-related matter but finds himself caught up in an age-old belief surrounding the forbidden woods. What begins as an unwilling trip to his village eventually leads to an encounter with a divine force.
The film also stars Anup Soni, Sunil Grover and Maniesh Paul in key roles.
According to the makers, The Vvaan takes inspiration from the Van Devi temple in Bihta, Bihar. Unlike conventional temples, the shrine does not house an idol. Instead, devotees worship a sacred pind. Local folklore holds that entering the temple premises after sunset is forbidden. Once the doors are shut for the night, even the priest leaves the premises. It is believed that Maa Van Devi safeguards the villagers and the forest after dusk.
Written by Arunabh Kumar, the folklore-based thriller is backed by Ekta Kapoor’s Balaji Motion Pictures along with The Viral Fever and 11.11 Production. The Vvaan: Force of the Forrest is scheduled to hit cinemas on September 25.
