During his visit to Assam, Merchant went to Zubeen Garg’s residence, paid tribute before his photograph and took a close look at the musical instruments used by the late singer. He also met and spoke with Zubeen’s wife, Garima Garg, before making his way to Zubeen Khetra, where thousands of admirers have gathered for the three-day Zubeen Divas being observed from September 17 to 19.
