Five sports—athletics, shooting, wrestling, kabaddi, and tennis—have contributed to India’s greatest achievements and have resulted in the nation’s highest medal total in Asian Games history. With 283 medals, athletics has won the most medals. With 80 medals, including 16 gold, 30 silver, and 34 bronze, shooting comes in second on the list. Manu Bhakar, a double Olympic medalist, will be leading the Indian shooting contingent. She also served as the flag-bearer at the opening ceremony of the Asian Games.
