The Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC) has opened the registration window for Assistant Teacher Attached Primary and Assistant Teacher (Urban) posts. Interested and eligible candidates can submit their applications through the official website: upessc.up.gov.in, before the last date, i.e., October 15, 2026. For their convenience, the Commission has implemented a One-Time Registration (OTR) system.
This year, 897 vacancies have been notified for Assistant Teacher Attached Primary (Aided Non-Government Secondary Schools) under the Secondary Education Department, and 11,508 for Assistant Teacher (Urban) under the Basic Education Department.
According to the official schedule, candidates will have until October 19 to edit select fields in their application forms.
The examination for said posts is scheduled for December 3 and 4, 2026.

“The OTR-based online application system (OTR Based Online Application System) is applicable for the posts in question. Applications sent through any other medium will not be accepted,” according to the official notice.
“Candidates can apply online through the official website of the Commission, www.upesssc.up.gov.in. Completing One Time Registration (OTR) is mandatory for all candidates; only after this can an application be submitted,” the notice said.
Notably, after final application submission, changes in the candidate’s category, sub-category, date of birth, gender, etc., would not be allowed. Therefore, candidates are advised to fill in all details correctly at the time of registration.
“It will be mandatory for candidates to fill in preference choices for selection in both types of schools mentioned above, in which no changes will be permitted after the last date,” the notice said.
