The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) and the Urban Development Department have been asked to identify suitable land parcels for construction of new hostels. Under the proposal, under-utilised government or DDA properties could also be repurposed as student accommodation, including vacant housing in areas such as Narela, provided adequate public transport connectivity is available.
