Abhishek Sharma created history and etched his name in the record books during the first T20I of the three-match series against Afghanistan at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi on Sunday (September 13). The left-handed batter became the fastest Indian to score 6000 T20 runs. Abhishek, who was only five runs short of the milestone, reached the 6000-run mark off 3420 balls. He hit a six off Fazalhaq Farooqi on the last ball of the first over to reach the milestone. New Zealand’s Finn Allen is the quickest batter to score 6000 runs. Allen completed 6000 runs in only 3386 balls.
