Briley’s sister, Gwendolyn Briley-Strand, later told USA TODAY that his wedding ring, ID, pager and one of his black tennis shoes were found by his family after the attacks. However, some relatives questioned whether the remains belonged to him, and there was never confirmation that Briley was the man in Drew’s photograph.
