NEET-SS 2025: SC Asks Centre To Reconsider Cut-Off Reduction Amid Vacant Seats

Appearing on behalf of petitioners, Advocate Rashmi Nandakumar argued that over 2,000 seats in medical colleges would remain vacant if the minimum qualifying cut-off percentile were not reduced. She said the authorities have persistently resorted to measures like special rounds, mop-up rounds, stray vacancy rounds and relaxation of eligibility criteria to ensure the best possible use of available seats.
