Michael Dell has moved ahead of Amazon founder Jeff Bezos on the global billionaire rankings, making the Dell Technologies founder the world’s third-richest person for the first time. The shift came after a strong rally in Dell Technologies shares, which has massively increased the value of Dell’s stake in the company. On Tuesday, the technology firm’s stock advanced 1.9 per cent to close at a record $533.88. The jump added $4.6 billion to Dell’s wealth, taking his estimated net worth to $267.7 billion, according to Forbes.
