The housing issue has assumed greater significance amid the recent security threats. The administration has been constructing 6,000 transit accommodation flats for Kashmiri migrant employees serving in the Valley. Of these, 4,128 had been completed by March, with the remaining 1,872 scheduled to be completed in phases.
