Hartalika Teej is celebrated on the Tritiya of the Shukla Paksha in the month of Bhadrapad. On this day, women observe a nirjala vrat (fast without food and water), seeking lifelong marital bliss. In addition, households perform a puja of the Shiva-Parvati family, praying for happiness and prosperity. The festival symbolises the union of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. Performing the puja on this day is believed to bring love, trust, and overall well-being into one’s life. Certain rituals can also enhance prospects of having children, the husband’s career growth, and financial gains.
