Tushar Goyal, who currently lives in the area, points out that with limited hostel seats across South Campus colleges, PGs in Satya Niketan are not really a choice, they are more like a default. Disha Raghuvanshi, a student at Motilal Nehru College, puts it plainly: rent is high, rooms are small, maintenance is patchy, but “accommodation close to South Campus is difficult and expensive to find,” so students pay anyway.
