Ranbir Kapoor’s casting as Lord Rama in Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana is still a debatable topic for many people. After the trailer of Ramayana Part 1 came out, a section of the audience criticised Ranbir’s casting for the lead role, especially after Animal, which played the violent character. Now, 1987’s iconic TV show, Ramayan creator Ramanand Sagar’s grandson, Shiv Sagar, criticised only Ranbir Kapoor’s casting in Ramayana. In a recent interview, Shiv Sagar said that he can’t accept Ranbir as Ram after Animal. He also said that he doesn’t have an issue with the rest of the casting, but for Ram’s role, he felt the makers could have cast a fresh face.
