The revelation comes from a resurfaced 1982 Entertainment Tonight interview in which Dolly Parton discussed the possibility of appearing in Supergirl. At the time, the film was being developed as a continuation of the Superman mythology, with Slater set to play Superman’s cousin. “They’re doing a show now called Supergirl,” Parton said during the interview. “They’ve got an 18-year-old girl that’s going to be Supergirl, and there’s a part of, a starring role of, a witch.”
