After the Supreme Court weighed in last month, Talwani lifted that nationwide block, which cleared a path, at least for the time being, for the Trump administration to move ahead. Just a day later, though, she put in place a narrower block lasting 14 days. It is that more limited, temporary block that she chose to extend on Friday.
