The MG Hector Tomahawk EV has begun arriving at dealerships across India with test drives expected to start shortly and customer deliveries scheduled through September 2026. For buyers who booked this three-row electric SUV at launch, that means the wait between paying a booking amount and actually seeing the car in person is finally closing. Priced from Rs 19.49 lakh to Rs 23.49 lakh ex-showroom, or from Rs 13.99 lakh under MG’s Battery-as-a-Service plan with a Rs 4.90/km rental, the SUV comes in five- and seven-seat configurations built around a 69.2kWh battery good for a claimed 517km range.

The Hector Tomahawk EV is sold in three trims for the seven-seat version, Excite, Exclusive and Essence while the five-seat body is offered only in the top Essence trim. The introductory Rs 13.99 lakh BaaS price applies to a limited number of units, so early bookers stand to benefit most from that lower entry point before it likely reverts to a higher figure.
Exterior details carried over to production include LED projector headlamps, an illuminated MG badge, a closed-off lower front section signalling the EV underpinnings, 18-inch dual-tone alloys as well as a powered tailgate, on a body measuring 4,745mm long with a 2,810mm wheelbase.

Power comes from a 69.2kWh LFP battery pack driving a front-mounted motor rated at roughly 201bhp and 310Nm, which is enough for a claimed 0-100kmph time of 8.2 seconds and an MIDC range of 517km.
Charging tops out at 90kW on DC, taking about 35 minutes for a 30-80% top-up, while a full AC charge takes around 12.5 hours; the SUV also supports vehicle-to-load, vehicle-to-vehicle and vehicle-to-home functions.
Inside, buyers get a 15.6-inch touchscreen, an 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster, ventilated front seats, a panoramic sunroof along with Level 2 ADAS on higher variants.

Boot space varies with seating layout: the seven-seat version offers 192 litres with all rows up and 528 litres with the third row folded, while the five-seat model starts at 610 litres and expands to 1,053 litres with the second row down. MG is positioning the seven-seat variant against the Mahindra XEV 9S and Kia Carens Clavis EV and the five-seat version against the Tata Harrier EV and Mahindra XEV 9e, putting real pressure on an increasingly crowded three-row electric SUV segment.
