‘Living In India Is Not A Disadvantage’: Woman Hails Indian Healthcare, Compares It With UK

“It’s 10 PM, and my husband, who is also a doctor, is sick right now. He has a headache and is vomiting. I’m out to get some medicines and IV injections. In moments like these, I realise that it’s such a blessing to be here in India because, if I were in the UK or some Western country, irrespective of the fact that I am a doctor, I might have been standing in a queue. There would have been a possibility that the ER might not have even attended to my husband, given how busy they often are. You cannot get over-the-counter medication that easily there,” the woman said.
