A purported extortion threat targeting Salman Khan has turned out to be a fabricated plot, according to the Mumbai Crime Branch. Police have arrested 25-year-old Asif Mohammad Muslim Raja from Bihar’s Siwan district, alleging that he created the elaborate deception to get an opportunity to meet the actor and seek financial help. Raja reportedly claimed that unidentified men had approached him with a contract to harm Salman and had given him cash and mobile phones. However, investigators allegedly found inconsistencies in his account, including similarities in the WhatsApp messages. Police further claim that Raja used ChatGPT to draft the threatening messages and staged evidence.
