According to a Bloomberg report, Brazil’s National Data Protection Authority (ANPD) imposed a fine of 153.8 million reais, which is around $29.81 million. The case focuses on how TikTok’s Brazilian unit collected and processed information belonging to teenagers. Authorities said reportedly said ByteDance had not met the legal requirements needed to process their personal data.
