‘Failure Of Judicial System’: SC Flags 45-Year Delay In Jharkhand Double Murder Case, Orders Release Of Convict

Earlier, the top court had described the delay in the case as “very disturbing.” Notably, out of the six accused named in the case, two died before the charges could be framed, while three of the four convicted persons passed away during the pendency of the appeal. Meanwhile, Simon Soren, who is now about 70, is the only surviving convict in the case.
