The Operation Safed Sagar actress said there was a huge responsibility on her to play the role with dignity. She admitted that initially she approached it with a lot of heaviness, but later realised that it was the wrong way to look at it. “Alka ji is a sheltered, innocent and delicate person at that time. Now, she is running a petrol pump in Delhi. I had to do that transition very carefully. In Ajay ji’s presence, the character is playful, very caring and nurturing. In his absence, I had to just feel that the smile is not there anymore. It was only Alka ji who had to return to that emptiness,” she shared.
