A routine food safety inspection at a gathiya stall near Nehrunagar in Ahmedabad led to action against the shop operator after the Times Now team pointed out an improperly labelled packet of black salt to food safety officials. The Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) Food Department was already checking the outlet, including testing the cooking oil used for frying. While the oil was found to be within the permissible limit, the officials noticed a packet of black salt that did not carry important mandatory details.
