The Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC), administrator of the NMAT by GMAC exam, will begin registrations for its 2026 testing cycle on August 20, 2026 (Thursday). Interested candidates will be able to apply for the NMIMS Management Aptitude Test (NMAT) through the official website, i.e. mba.com/nmat.
This time, GMAC will conduct the NMAT exam at nearly 64 test centres across 59 cities in India. For this cycle, the exam will be delivered exclusively at physical test centers from November 2 to December 20, 2026.
Test format, marking scheme
Students will be asked to solve 108 questions within 120 minutes. All sections will be given equal weightage.
Additionally, there will be no negative marking, which means candidates will not be penalized for wrong answers.
While instant scores will be available immediately after the exam, the official score card will be issued 48 hours after the test concludes. Meanwhile, students will also be given up to two retake opportunities to improve performance.
