Ram Gopal Varma’s upcoming crime thriller Police Company is reportedly being planned as a two-part theatrical franchise. The film, which stars Harshvardhan Rane as Mumbai Police encounter specialist Daya Nayak, has gone on floors and is expected to explore the rise of the celebrated police officer against the backdrop of Mumbai’s underworld in the late 1990s and early 2000s. According to new reports, both instalments will be shot back-to-back, with the makers planning to release them a few months apart in 2027.
