A well-known WWE star has disclosed that their decision to alter their life and pursue wrestling was influenced by watching The Usos while incarcerated. Having won four tag team world titles and five SmackDown tag team titles, the Usos are among the most successful tag teams in history. The twins Jimmy and Jey Uso are the sons of WWE Hall of Famer Rikishi, and Solo Sikoa is their sibling. As part of the ongoing Bloodline plot, which centers on the family, Solo Sikoa is currently at odds with his two brothers.
One of the most well-known families in wrestling, the Anoa’i family has contributed significantly to the sport’s history by introducing their Samoan heritage to the industry. Umaga, Yokozuna, and Roman Reigns—one of the greatest wrestlers of all time and the current World Heavyweight Champion after defending it at SummerSlam in a five-star match against former Shield member Seth Rollins—are among the family’s many well-known members.
However, Jacob Fatu, another family member, has been making waves in the WWE world over the past few years. He disclosed this on the “What is Your Story? According to Stephanie McMahon’s podcast, he observed his relatives while incarcerated.
Jacob Fatu Reveals Watching Raw In prison
The Bloodline member was sentenced to prison at the age of 18 after being found guilty of armed robbery. He would occasionally spend time behind bars before, he added, seeing his cousins on television altered his course.
“When I end up, when I, when I was locked up, tapping in, it really just made me like open my eyes. Like, man, come on, man. Come on. It wasn’t,” Fatu said.
“And then I will go back to jail, but it’d be only for like probation violation. I was on ankle monitor. I’ll cut it off and keep moving. But it didn’t really hit me until I seen The Usos, TJ (Tyson Kidd), Nattie (Natalya), and Harry (Davey Boy Smith Jr.) on TV, man.”
“I seen them on a Monday Night Raw. And we’re flipping through the channels. We have one TV screen. We’re flipping through the channels. 120 guys in one big dorm share one TV. They had one TV and they were flipping through it. And Monday Night Raw, come on. Who do I see? Jimmy and Jey cutting a promo,” he added.
