Ramayana is one of the most awaited Indian films, as Nitesh Tiwari is bringing the epic story to the big screen on a massive scale. Ranbir Kapoor plays Lord Ram, while Sai Pallavi stars as Sita and Yash takes on the role of Ravana. However, another actor’s role has become one of the interesting parts of the film. Chetan Hansraj, who was seen in the film’s trailer has revealed that he will play seven different roles. The actor has spoken about working with Yash and the scale of the film.

Chetan Hansraj To Play Seven Characters In Ramayana

Chetan Hansraj has already made a brief appearance in the Ramayana trailer but his role in the film is reportedly much bigger than what the glimpse suggests. The actor will play Raja Mali, a character who shares scenes with Yash’s Ravana. Hansraj has also spoken highly of Yash and described his experience of working with the KGF star as a memorable one.

What makes his part even more interesting is that Hansraj was offered additional characters after completing his primary role. According to the actor he was offered six more motion capture characters taking his total number of roles in the film to seven.

His characters reportedly include Raja Mali, one of Ravana’s brothers and a powerful demon. The remaining characters will also be created through motion capture technology. This means Hansraj will not simply appear in multiple regular roles but will also be part of the film’s large visual effects and performance capture process.

The revelation makes Ramayana even more interesting especially because of the film’s huge cast and its effort to bring the epic story to life with modern filmmaking technology.

Ramayana To Arrive In Two Parts

Film directed by Nitesh Tiwari and produced by Namit Malhotra Ramayana is being planned as a two-part cinematic spectacle. The first part is scheduled to release internationally on November 6 2026, while its India release is set for November 8. The second part is expected to arrive during Diwali 2027.

The film features an extensive cast including Sunny Deol, Ravi Dubey, Lara Dutta, Arun Govil, Rakul Preet Singh, Kunal Kapoor, Indira Krishnan, Sheeba Chaddha, Vivek Oberoi, Kajal Aggarwal and Shobana.

With its huge scale, star cast, visual effects and multiple characters, Ramayana is shaping up to be one of the biggest Indian films in recent years. The film is touted to be a mix of mythology, new technology and a strong storytelling
