New Zealand and France have confirmed their participation in the FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup in Poland. The confirmation comes as a big relief for the under-fire FIFA President Gianni Infantino, who faced strong criticism from the global sports confederation for his World Cup sell-off plan; however, a few, including Argentina and Mexico, also offered support. UEFA was furious with Infantino and threatened to boycott all FIFA competitions following the rift over the now-defunct proposal.
