Should India Scrap The Medical Entrance Exam Or Build ‘NEET 2.0’?

While Tamil Nadu has always advocated for scrapping NEET, Mamidala Jagadesh Kumar, Chairman, Board of Governors, IIM Calcutta and formerly – Professor of Electrical Engineering, IIT Delhi, Vice-chancellor, JNU and Chairman, UGC explains that the “National Medical Commission Act requires a uniform National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) for admission to the undergraduate medical education, and the Supreme Court has upheld NEET’s constitutional validity.”
