In this movie, Antonio plays the role of Miguel Alvarez. Miguel’s boyfriend, Andrew Beckett, was a successful lawyer and was fired from the prestigious law firm that he worked in after they found out that he had AIDS. Andrew later decides to sue his employers against the discrimination and turns to Joe Miller, a lawyer who was not ready but later agreed to fight his case. Throughout the movie, Miguel is right beside his partner, facing discrimination and helping him deal with his disease. Banderas brought warmth and care to the role.
