The Directorate General of Medical Education and Training (DGME), Uttar Pradesh, has released a list of 71 candidates who have been debarred from participating in UP NEET counselling 2026-27.
As per the official information, students who were allotted seats but either did not take admission, paid course fees and left, or exited MBBS or BDS courses without completing them have been barred from the counselling process for the current academic session.
According to DGME guidelines, candidates who fail to take admission after being allotted a seat in the stray vacancy round will have their security money forfeited and will also be debarred from UP NEET UG counselling.
Further, candidates who leave seats in government or private medical and dental colleges after the final round of counselling without completing the course will also be barred from the admission process in the following academic year.

UP NEET Counselling 2026 Round 1 Details
DGME Uttar Pradesh has also started the round 1 registration process for UP NEET counselling 2026. Eligible candidates can apply through the official portal dgme.up.gov.in/Welcome/counselling.
The last date to pay the registration fee and security money is August 12, 2026, till 5 pm.
