Awarapan 2, starring Emraan Hashmi and Disha Patani, is releasing on August 14, 2026, in theatres. Directed by Nitin Kakkar, the sequel to the 2007 film, Awarapan, has been creating a solid buzz among the masses since its announcement. The first installment was directed by Mohit Suri, and now the Saiyaara maker has penned a heartfelt note for her dear friend, Emraan Hashmi’s film, ahead of its release. He called Awarapan ‘long-lost love’ and ‘an old friend’. He took to his Instagram handle and expressed his feelings for Awarapan 2 ahead of its grand release a day before Independence Day.
