According to SCREEN, Salman Khan’s Karan Arjun reference in Bigg Boss 20 promo is linked to the idea of getting another life. The latest promo also hinted at every contestant receiving a special ‘vardaan’, which is reportedly connected to this new gameplay format.
The report added that every contestant may receive two lives during the competition. If a housemate gets eliminated, their journey might not end immediately. Instead, they could get one more chance to stay in the game and fight for the trophy. The reported format is inspired by the rebirth theme of Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan’s 1995 film Karan Arjun.
It further suggests that the Bigg Boss house could be divided into two sections. Contestants eliminated from the main game may move to another area instead of exiting the show completely. From there, they may get an opportunity to return to the main competition later. However, the makers are yet to officially reveal the complete rules.

Bigg Boss 20 Start Date And Rumoured Contestants
Bigg Boss 20 is scheduled to premiere on September 6 with Salman Khan returning as host. The show will stream on JioHotstar at 9 pm and will also air on Colors TV at 10:30 pm every day. This season is also part of JioStar’s biggest-ever rollout, with six regional editions of Bigg Boss launching together across India.
As for contestants, the official list is still under wraps. However, several names have been linked with the show through media reports. Mahhi Vij, Geeta Basra, Jannat Zubair, Mr Faisu, Sunil Pal, Maxtern, Dushyant Kukreja and Bhavya Singh are among the celebrities reportedly approached for the new season. The final lineup is expected to be announced closer to the premiere.
