Reports also mention unconfirmed claims circulating on social media about alleged links to criminal groups. What is documented, however, is his friendship with influencer Leovardo Aispuro, known as “El Gordo Peruci.” After Aispuro’s death in December 2024, Gastelum shared a tribute at his friend’s grave, thanking him for his advice and saying he would miss him.
