Arora, based in Delhi, played tennis for more than ten years under the coaching of her father before entering pickleball in October 2024, when a fellow tennis player encouraged her to compete in a major tournament in the capital. Despite limited prior experience with the sport, she entered the professional category. “It was a big tournament, and I’d barely played the sport before,” she told WION in an exclusive interview. “But it was fun. The vibe was different, community-driven and energetic. That experience made me realise this wasn’t just a hobby sport, it had serious potential.”
