Over a career spanning more than four decades, Pradeep Rawat became one of Indian cinema’s most recognizable screen villains, working across Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, Bengali and Bhojpuri films. He first gained recognition as Ashwatthama in B.R. Chopra’s Mahabharat before delivering memorable performances in Sarfarosh, Lagaan and Ghajini, where he portrayed the fearsome gangster Ghajini Dharmatma in both the Tamil original and its Hindi remake. His last Hindi release was Chhaava, while his final released film was the Telugu comedy Gaayapadda Simham.
