Carlota Medus, senior epidemiologist supervisor in the Minnesota Department of Health’s Foodborne Diseases Unit, said the available evidence indicates the food that caused the illnesses was also served at other restaurants. She added that Chipotle has cooperated throughout the investigation and that, based on the company’s actions, the department is not currently concerned about the chain. However, officials said it is still too early to determine whether the outbreak is ongoing.
