Marvel Studios re-imagines Sara Grey’s backstory dramatically. In the comics, Sara is Jean’s older sister, and she is not a natural telepath. She, however, lives more or less a normal life, marries Paul Bailey, and has children. Her tragedy comes later, when anti-mutant extremists attack the Grey family. Sara and her husband are eventually murdered, and her children also pay a devastating price.
