Speaking on passage of bill to increase their strength, BJP MP Jagdambika Pal said, “As far as I know, the government had said that it wanted to hold a discussion on this bill and then pass it. This was not an issue of politics. The provision to increase the number of judges is not mentioned in any article of the Constitution. This bill was on the agenda for the last three weeks. The Opposition has been insulting everyone, including the students, by using unparliamentary words for them. They also insulted the judiciary.”
