Rainfall has improved in Karnataka, with the Kabini reservoir now being full. But the political flashpoints continue to erupt. Chief Minister DK Shivakumar, in the crucial all-party meet he called, confirmed that the inflows into the Kabini and KRS dams had crossed 20,000 cusecs. He also announced that as per the Cauvery Water Management Authority’s (CWMA) order, his state was releasing the 3,500 cusecs to Tamil Nadu.
