Governor Declares Emergency, Bans Outdoor Burning Statewide
The fire’s rapid growth, combined with dangerous weather conditions statewide, prompted Governor Bob Ferguson to declare a statewide state of emergency. As part of that declaration, Ferguson imposed a burn ban covering most outdoor and agricultural burning across Washington through September 30, 2026.
