Preeti Pawar made the country proud in Glasgow by winning a gold medal at the Commonwealth Games 2026. The 22-year-old boxer defeated Canada’s Scarlett Savannah Delgado in the final of the 54kg category to win the first gold of the day (August 1). Following her gold medal win, Preeti exclusively spoke to Times Now and she dedicated her medal to the country. “I am feeling really good. I’ve finally won a gold medal for India, and it was very exciting. I want to dedicate this to all Indians. Everyone’s support and blessings were there. Thank you everyone for your support,” Preeti said.
