The US-based space agency NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Administration) has confirmed that a total solar eclipse will take place on August 12, 2026. The celestial event (also known as Surya Grahan in India) will be visible in its full form from parts of Greenland, Iceland, northern Spain and northern Russia, while millions of people across North America, Europe and northwestern Africa will be able to see a partial solar eclipse, the space agency said in a statement.
