As anticipation for Avengers: Doomsday continues to grow, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige has addressed one of the biggest concerns surrounding the film, Doctor Doom’s lack of an extensive MCU buildup compared to Thanos. Responding to fan discussions, Feige argued that the Mad Titan’s journey has been “built up in people’s heads” over time, noting that Thanos made only a handful of brief appearances before Avengers: Infinity War. He explained that Doomsday is designed to properly introduce Victor von Doom to both long-time comic book readers and audiences unfamiliar with the iconic Marvel villain, much like Infinity War did for Thanos.
