Two people were killed and another was critically injured after a powerful blast ripped through an illegal firecracker manufacturing unit in Senkamalapatti near Sivakasi in Tamil Nadu’s Virudhunagar district.
According to police, three people were allegedly manufacturing firecrackers in a makeshift workspace when the explosion occurred. Two victims died on the spot, while the third was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. Police have registered a case and launched an investigation into the incident.
